Alaska Clearwater Sportfishing would like to invite you to attend our
Fly Fishing School. If you are interested in learning how to catch
Trophy Alaskan Rainbow Trout, then this school is for you. Long time
Alaskan guides will show you the techniques and secrets that fool the
big Bows.
Our classes will show you that Alaskan anadromous streams and rivers are much different than the water you find in the Eastern United States or the Rocky Mountain regions. The further north you go the shorter the growing seasons and less diverse the ecosystems become. It's because of the Salmon and its life cycle that great amounts of nutrients are introduced into rivers and streams and that's what supplies the food for trout and other wildlife.
We will teach you why and how the life cycle of Salmon have a direct impact on Alaskan Rainbow Trout. Also, you will learn why trout can migrate great distances throughout the Alaskan seasons and where you might find them at different times of the year.
In our school we will have two days of classroom time where we cover fly rods and reels, casting techniques, what flies to use and a lot more. After classroom instruction and outdoor casting we will have two days of guided drift boat fishing where you will be able to put your new-found fishing techniques to work catching fish.
Please see our schedule for more information.
By taking this four day program you can join the 10%
of anglers who catch 90% of the
fish.
